A time travel

I think I love the time travel as a scientific possibility, as an anthropology student, I would love to see with my own eyes how the people lived in past ages. The first thing I would do is to travel to the middle age, to see the castles and battles an meet the famous knights and kings personally. But I don't think I'm staying ther for much time, thats because of the ambiental dangers, like the black death, the inquisition, constant wars and the famine of the poor people. That would be only a short time travel to record some information and go back to the present like a famous archaeologist. The only problem I have in this plan, is that probably I'll not want to go back to the present once in the past, because of the horrible things of our time, like capitalism, taxes, the borred life of a social individual. As a conclusion, I think that perhaves I'm just like Don Quixote de La Mancha. A man that borned in the wrong time, and things like the pains and pleasures of this world can not worry us. Perhaves one day I will become into a knight just like he, with no time machine, but the will to fight againts evil.

Studying anthropology at Universidad de Chile

This is my first year of university. At the beginning, it was a little bit stressing, as I expected. But now, I think I'm adapted to the ritm.  I have six subjects in this semester, also an English course. In general, we learn the basics of anthropology and social sciences, like the historical origins of this science, investigation methods, the social contex of our time, and of past times. There is no too much work load, you just have to do it on time, and make sure that you're understanding what you're doing. Honestly I still don't know which buildings are specifically FACSO, and the campus is so big that I frequently get lost. But at least the bathrooms are very conortable, and the people is kind, so they help me to find my classes at the firs weeks. About the teaching methods, I would say that are pretty effective, considering that in a few months, my perspective of social and cultural phenomena became more complete an complex. I want to visit Perú

I have always been atracted by a land with precolumbian architecture, especially considering that many of their cultural expressions suvive from that period. Like the food, the dressing, dances, arts, esthetic, music, but mor importantly; tha way of life of the people from the altiplano and andean zones. They are adapted for living on the heights and dedicated to raising llamas to use their wool. Other intersting aspect that I see on Perú is how the ancient cultures has desarrollated agriculture. The Incas cultivated on terraces to use the fall of the water on the andian slopes, an extremely smart system that has been used by many cultures around the world. But by far, the most impressive cultural advance that we can find exploring Peru is the development of astronomy by the Andean peoples. They had knowledge about changes of seasons, solstices, equinoxes. And know times of sowing and harvest. Those are some of the reasons that an anthropology student may have to visit Peru.

My future

When I was a boy, I visited many times the museum of natural history of Chile, there, I was fascinated by two different sciences; archeology and biology. The study of ancient creatures, forms of life and cultures. Unconsciously on my child's mind, I based all my future decisions on those two interests. My favorite subjects at school were ciences and history, on my free time, I tried to research these two things on books and on the internet for a long time. When I got to high school, the coronavirus pandemic make us to stop classes for many months, during which time I felt very depressed and useless. I decided to abandon my dream of becoming a paleontologist because I was afraid of not having the enough preparation at sciences. Today, I'm studying anthropology and I'm very happy with my life as an adult. I know that I have a lot of things to do and to learn so I will keep giving my best to fulfil my dream.
